(this is a reupload but with modifications)
so lately i’ve been obsessed with the Funko POP! Figures that have become the latest trend. I have seven of them. for those of you who don’t know what they are or who want to know which ones i have, refer to the picture below:
they are these stupid little figures with big heads and black eyes. the bodies are to small and sometimes, the heads bobble. i own 10 of them, and waiting for one more.
i have 4 out of 5 Supernatural figures: Sam, Dean, Castiel with wings, and Crowley (who came in the mail yetserday). I have 2 of the 3 Winter Soldier collection: Captain America and Black Widow, Winter Soldier himself still coming. I have Rob Gronkowski, the tight-end for the New England Patriots (everyone knows i love my Patriots). I own Loki cause i love Loki, and my prized possession: Dancing Baby Groot.
the stupid things are addictive, because you just want to make your collection bigger and better and show it off to everyone. and when you get sick of them taking up space, you go around and sell them on amazon or on the facebook group (that i am apart of).
i think i’ll be done with buying for a while cause i dont have a job and i really can’t afford them. but i told myself that when i bought Gronk i’d be done and that maybe i’d turn around and sell Gronk after the Pats won the Superbowl. But now i changed my mind and i’m gonna try to get him signed at Patriots training camp this summer.
see, with Funko, i don’t see the point in getting different versions of the characters. I’m okay with just one figure of each character. for example, Loki has like 7 other figures that are all different. i have no interest in gaining the others because i already have one. the same with the Winter Soldier, there are two different versions but i only want one.
my point is, if you have a collection of something that you like, control yourself in buying them. don’t be like me. i’ve spent $25 today online on the dumb little things when i really shouldn’t be.
thats my wisdom for today. don’t expect more wisdom for a while. now if you’ll excuse me, i’m gonna go back to playing with Baby Groot and making him dance to “I Want You Back” by Jackson 5 (like he does at the end of the movie!)
