Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Review

*sighs* I’ve been delaying this post a while. Not sure why. Actually, I do have a reason, but that would ruin the review. Let’s get to the summary:

It seems like everyone on Youtube was talking about these freaking liquid lipsticks. So naturally after working my ass off for over a month, I needed to take the plunge & spend the $18 on the lipstick. Jeffree Star is one of my ultimate favorite beauty bloggers on youtube, his tutorials are all incredible and amazing and I love them all so much.

I had really high expectations for this lipstick. I really did.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Review: Celebrity Skin

Buy it at Jeffree Star Cosmetics Website for $18 – CURRENTLY SOLD OUT.

What I love about this product: The packaging was so fucking adorable. It came in this white box with tons of tissue paper and tape that had his logo on it and it came with a postcard and god damn it was the cutest packaging ever. The little applicator thingy is really neat, its got this scoop in the middle where all the product goes, which makes it easy to apply. The shade is so pretty and even seems to flatter my pale self.

What I don’t like about this product: Okay, so the packaging warns you, don’t eat oily or greasy food with this lipstick. But the reason why i’ve delayed this review is because…. it didn’t meet the expectation I thought it would. It was only semi-light weight, very sticky on the lips and dried them out like crazy (but thats normal). I found that even after using a setting spray though, the wear with this was not that great.

Overall opinion: I probably won’t buy this shade again. I’ve heard on Youtube and from others that each shade is kinda a little bit of a different formula. Some shades stay on better than others.

A side note…

On my youtube channel i’m going to be starting to do more! Whether it be tutorials on anything online, vlogs, make up reviews and how they wear throughout the day, i’m thinking of doing it, so make sure you subscribe here and stay on the lookout. (Also be on the lookout for a short film or two… or more depending on my inspiration… and long vine edits…)
