Hello friends! I took another unintentional week break but I am going to try to get back on my writing thing again. I have 3 more snail-mail inklings to write up and a fun little thing I’m going to attempt to do during October. Plus a collaboration post to write. I’ve already moved this post from Tuesday to toady because I forgot to finish it. For some reason, writing and I are not friends right now.

Oh boy. Anyway, here we are!

I think it really is expected that at this point whenever the Sims 4 releases something I will write about it. If you remember from my EA Play post I was pretty freakin’ excited about Realm of Magic, and then got even MORE excited during my ‘what we know‘ post.

Prepare for more excitement – but also some criticism (gasp). Not a whole lot though.

Alright, we’ll start with an obvious: I LOVE THIS PACK. I can’t stop talking about how much I love it no matter where I go or who I talk to. Everyone pretty much knows at this point that magic is right up my alley so this pack is an absolute dream to me.

You have the option to never go into the magic realm and stay completely away from it – which some Simmer do like to do.

OR you could be not boring and go through the portal and become a spellcaster. Which is way more exciting than ignoring it.

So everything from my original post about Realm of Magic that we got after the deep dive pretty much stood true in the game.

Now onto the small thing I really am not a fan of: we can’t live in the Magic Realm nor can we become Sages, which are sort of the head spellcasters. That’s a major bummer because once you get to the top of the rankings you really can’t do anything else except just keep earning magic points to get all the rewards.

I also dislike not being able to live in the magical realm. I mean, I can get over it, but I think it would be cool if we had an option to live in it maybe as a top spellcaster or something. But these are all things I can get over.

I still absolutely love this pack, love magic, etc. Its a must have for me and if you love Harry Potter as much as I do then you’ll want this too.

I’ll put a little bit of self-promo in here, on my Youtube channel StardewSimming we are doing a Realm of Magic LP focusing on a teen and her father who was an ex-evil-spellcaster now raising his daughter and hoping she doesn’t follow down his dark path. You can watch that playlist here if you like!

Thats about all I have for today, until next time!
