Devonne by Demi Skin Care – Review

Hey there guys! I’m here with another review (there will be a lot of reviews coming up actually….) and this time it’s on a skin care line.

Devonne by Demi was launched in October 2014 and has received nothing but good feedback from magazines, other celebrities, and teenage girls around the world. Personally made by Demi Lovato herself, a lot of Lovatics rushed to the website to order the skincare line for themselves to try it. The line includes a deep facial cleanser, a hydrating radiance mist, and a 3-in-1 moisturizing primer.

I had been wanting to try this for ages. Unfortunately when it first came out I couldn’t afford to buy the refill package or even the one time package, so I had to wait until I had a little bit of extra money to buy the one time package (cause I can’t afford to get charged nearly $30 a month for this). Finally I had a bit of money and I still didn’t want to spend nearly $40 on the one month supply, so some user on ebay had an extra set that they were selling for $33 with free shipping. I bought it on the spot and it came to my box at school about 2 days later. I started using it right away of course!

I wanted to wait a few days before I made this post to see how my skin came out after I had been using it for a few days. I felt that if I made this post a day after getting it, I wouldn’t have had enough to review on. Now that I have that out of the way, lets get to it then!

The point of the products is to use them one right after the other. First is the cleanser, then the mist, then the primer goes on last. At night, I repeat this routine. Throughout the day you are supposed to spray the mist on your face whenever it feels like it is to dry or whatnot. I don’t do that, but I should probably start. Anyways, this is how I use them:

1. Apply the cleanser with either your finger tips or a towel to damp skin. I usually use my fingers because I feel like i can lather it more and spread it more with my fingers than with a towel. Trust me, I did both. I did this for about two minutes and then rinsed it off with my face cloth and patted it dry with a towel.

2. Then I hold the mist a couple of inches away from my face and spray it all over. I close my eyes and pucker my lips into my mouth so the spray doesn’t get on my lips. If it does I just use my lip scrub from LUSH and apply some lip balm after it and usually the taste goes away. I let the spray dry for a couple of minutes before moving on.

3. The 3 in 1 moisturizing primer is very thick. A little goes a long way, but sometimes I have still yet to figure out the perfect amount to apply. Its a very small container and since I only have one, I am trying to use very little. I apply to my right cheek and area first, then the left, and then my forehead last. Any left over I have on my fingers I just spread throughout the rest of my face, typically.

This process leaves your face feeling clean, refreshed, and it even seems to make my skin look like it’s glowing sort of. At first I thought the glowing part was a bit stupid, but it really does make my face have an extra glow to it. My skin is extra soft and so far I am loving the results that I am getting.

My skin is very acne prone and before I started using this, I had a few zits on my skin and almost immediately after my first day and night of using this, they were reduced and almost gone completely.

Putting on make up was really easy after this. The primer made it extremely easy to put on foundation and I even use less now because the primer helps it spread evenly so well. My powder stays on the whole day actually and helps reduce my shine on my forehead and nose by so much more.

Overall, I am getting absolutely fantastic results with this line. Its safe to say that after I run out of this package, I will be buying myself another kit (or maybe even the monthly subscription kits!) so I can keep getting positive results.

Until next time, readers!

Hi Alyssa, I have been using Devonne by Demy for about 3 weeks now and I keep getting pimples constantly ever since. This never happened to me before. It really sucks because I think is the products but I really really like them. I like how my face feels after I put them on and the results so far have been good exept for the pimple part. What do you recommend?

HI there! I discovered shortly after this that I too was still getting pimples, so I went onto the website and it says that tis product was not to be used as an acne wash. What i do now instead is use Devonne by Demi at night before I go to bed to wash my make up off and an acne wash in the shower in the morning, with the primer still to prime my face before make up. I hope this helped you and sorry for the delay in response!
