Lush Cosmetics NEW! Shampoo Bar Review

Lush Cosmetics NEW! Shampoo Bar Review

I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for a couple of months now. I’m taking vitamins, using Not Your Mother’s Way to Grow shampoo’s and conditioner as well as their leave in conditioners, but I wanted to try something new. So I went to Lush one day and I ended up purchasing a shampoo bar and a tin. I’ve been trying the NEW! Shampoo bar for over a week now and have used it a couple of times, so I figured it was time for a review!

Buy it at Lush’s website for $11.95. Shampoo Bar Tin also on website for $3.95 (which I highly recommend).

What I like about this: It smells, so damn good. Its so easy to apply, I use just three little strokes and then just lather the rest on all over my hair (which is very short). It makes your hair feel soooooo soft! The cinnamon is supposed to make blood rush to your scalp to help with hair growth. I’ve only been using it a week and i’m not measuring (and I got a bit of a restyle and trim) so I really haven’t noticed a whole lot of growth difference, but there are ton of other added perks. It makes your hair soft and shiny, and thats the difference i’ve noticed already.

What I don’t like about this: My hair always feels so super dry and coarse whenever I’m rinsing it out. I really don’t like the feel of that as much, because it gives you a false sort of opinion as to how your hair will look and feel afterwards.

Overall opinion: I will be buying this again! It’s $11 a shot, so its a little bit pricey for a tiny little circle, but you don’t need a lot to make it last!

  1. It's great to know that you like it. I don't know if I could deal with that course feeling while washing it out. I once used a shampoo that did that and it felt so weird. I mainly just liked the smell it had. xD

  2. Hello, Adrianne here from Little Dancer. ^_^ I've never really tried any Lush products before. I've been hearing good and bad things about them. But a shampoo bar does look interesting (never heard of shampoo bars either hehe). So, I'm guessing you use the shampoo bar would be the same as a regular soap bar, except it would be on your hair/scalp?

  3. Yeah! So what you do is you wet the bar under water for a couple seconds and then rub it along the top of your wet hair and the sides until it gets soapy then you lather it in with your fingers. The longer hair you have the more times you have to run the bar over your hair to get it to look nice. I've had mine 3 weeks and I still have a lot of the bar left (but thats also because my hair is a short bob)
