Blogger Recognition Award 2018

Hello everybody!! Finally, I am getting this done, eh?

Its a little bit of an overdue post, but nevertheless, here I am! I won’t be nominating anyone for this since Megan over at Geeky Gal (who nominated me) nominated everyone in The Games that Define Us, which is who I would have nominated anyways. Thank you Megan for nominating me!

(speaking of which, if you haven’t been keeping up with The Games that Define Us, go here!)

The Rules:

  • Thank the blogger that nominated you and give a link to their site.
  • Do a post to show your award.
  • Give a summary of how your blog started.
  • Give two pieces of advice for any new bloggers.
  • Select at least 15 other bloggers for this award.
  • Let each nominee know you’ve nominated them and give a link to your post.

So, I basically did this big long post about how I started, but if I want to go waaaay back (like, 2012/2013) I started a website for blogging purposes.

It was called justlittlealyssa.net and it was for my Wattpad followers to see what I was up to outside of Wattpad. Literally, that was it. When I started college in 2014 I wanted to blog to document my feelings through college and how I was doing. Somewhere in between there I was influenced to become a blog that I definitely was not (you can still actually scroll back to those posts ironically enough) and finally found my place recently.

My place I guess is in the Personal Geek Blog niche or whatever you wanna call it. I’ve stopped caring about what’s in and just write about what I want to write about.

Which wonderfully moves into the next topic which is advice for new bloggers! Even though I am the worst person to ask for the advice because I still haven’t quite figured it out yet.

Step one is just to write a lot. Write a lot about what you are in to and then write a lot about things that you think that people might not like – because they probably will like it.

Second piece is just to keep going at it. No matter how hard your mind tells you to just stop and that its not worth it, just keep going. You’ll be happier in the end.
