Hello and welcome to an almost one week down of this challenge!! And what a challenge it has been – for me to just remember to write these posts. At some point I’ll get ahead. I don’t know when it will be, but it will happen at some point.

If you want to follow along with this challenge go read my introduction post here as well as all the prompts. Let’s get started!

Today’s prompt is: what fandom do you love that you didn’t think you would?

Honestly, the answer MAY shock some of you. It’s not technically a fandom but never did I ever think I would get into anime.

Please don’t unfollow me.

It was always something I was like “I don’t think I’d like it – animation – blah blah blah” and then my friend told me to shut the fuck up, we sat down, and watched Attack on Titan together. After that I binged the rest of the show (at the time seasons 1 and 2) and I was hooked.

I watched a few others that I can’t remember the name of that were just feel good cutesy romantic animes, and then, finally, I watched Yuri On Ice.

I watched that shit with my best friend in one god damn night and let me tell you – I will DIE for Viktor. After I watched that I started delving into Sailor Moon, the original and Crystal. I’ve watched all of Crystal and I stopped watching the original – not for any reason, I stopped it to watch Crystal. I need to get back on that.

I haven’t watched a whole lot more as of late just because I simply haven’t – so if you have any good ones drop them below and I’ll make a list and add them to it.

  1. I’m in the same boat. I’m trying to get into anime, but I’m struggling to find a series I like. I will say I did read the first volume of My Hero Academia and I loved it. I might read a couple more of the volumes and then watch the show.

    1. I feel like it’s very hard for me to get into anything lately, so trying to get into anime especially is going to be hard. I’m just going to give it time and see what happens.
